The President’s Office is an comprehensive executive organization in the university, playing the role as the leaders’ advisor, the comprehensive department coordinator, the supervisor of major policy decisions and the internal and external communicator. The office is the important hubs of political work. The guiding principles of the President’s Office are: to contribute to the university's central task, to service and satisfy the leaders, departments, students and faculties.
The primary responsibilities of the President’s Office are as follows.
Undertake the school-wide tasks
—Be responsible for organizing important conferences, such as the school-wide committee and the standing committee meetings, the president meetings, cadre plenary meetings, joint council conferences, etc. and conduct everything concerning the meetings.
—Be responsible for major university events and important receptions in planning, organization, coordination and implementation; as well as external contact and cooperation.
—Be responsible for handling various types of university official documents (remarking and circulating the receiving documents, implementing leader’s instructions and hastening the process, as well as issuing, reviewing, and publishing documents).
—Be responsible for organizing the drafting and reviewing of the university regulations; drafting and composing school-wide political working plans, summaries and other documents; drafting important speeches of the secretary and president; writing other documents, letters and so on.
—In conjunction with the Organization Department, the Personnel Department and other departments to research and audit the programs of institution setup and reformation as well as the assignment of responsibility, and then submit those programs to the school board for decision-making.
—Arrange agendas, official activities and daily office work for the university leaders.
—Uniformly coordinate internal and external activities where the university leaders are involved.
—Be responsible for managing the official seals of the university.
—Be responsible for managing the name and badge of the university.
Undertake comprehensive research and information integration, playing a role as an advisor and assistant.
—According to the requirements of the university, based on the university’s development strategy, formulation and implementation of major policies and together with the Policy Research Office and other departments to carry out research to support decision-making for the university leaders.
—Be responsible for the school-wide information collection, summary, analysis, report and release as well as compiling and distributing information and documents for university departments as references.
Be responsible for coordination of petition, visiting and so on.
—Be responsible for coordinating and supervising correspondence and visit from the public; coordinate all departments in the work of security and stability.
—Assist the university leaders in coordinating relevant units and departments; make emergency response to unexpected events.
—Supervise major decisions of the university in conjunction with the Organization Department and the Supervision Division.
